Peacock Carpet

Story Of this carpet

The Peacock Carpet is an innovative work that presents a new interpretation of the possibilities of Iranian carpet design through a sophisticated fusion of the Mihrabi, Moharramat, Gلدani (vase), and Lachak-o-Toranj designs, complemented by the techniques of kilim weaving and relief carpet weaving.

At the heart of this work is a vase motif embodied in the form of a peacock. As a symbol of grandeur, eternity, and beauty, the peacock occupies the center of the composition. The flowers and branches emerging from its form are spread across the carpet in an Afshanarrangement, resembling the fully opened feathers of the bird.

One of the most distinctive features of this work is its use of a limited palette of natural plant-based dyes. This deliberate choice demonstrates that visual richness does not depend on an abundance of colors; rather, it emerges from the strength of the design and the harmonious relationship between its elements.
